“I'm Kevin Sare & I've been a photographer now for over 30 years. The drive & joy of creating images has never left me.
I remember being 16 in a darkroom with a Pentax K1000, trying to work out who I was. The camera felt like permission—to knock on doors, ask questions & really look. Through photographing others, I’ve learned a great deal about myself and the world.
Since gaining my photography degree at the University of Brighton, I started out working freelance for national publications. I have been exhibited in galleries, won photography competitions and worked alongside non-profit organizations.
I feel truly lucky to be able to apply my documentary photography experience to wedding photography & feel it's the perfect fit. There are many similarities between documentary photography & wedding photography - you have to read people, see the moments coming, be in the centre of the action while being discreet. All the couples whos' weddings I've photographed have said to me they barely noticed I was there!
More recently I have become passionate about education & passing on my enthusiasm for photography and how it can be transformative for myself & others.”
